There are a number of ways that we can be contacted (though Facebook, etc...) and this just happens to be one.  When you fill out the contact form, what you send us populates a document that notifies our shared family email account that contact has been made.  This protects us from spam. It's nothing personal.  And we'll reply as soon as we do (sometimes quickly, sometimes... y'know).
