* another historic Reformation Confession. The WCF is the confession used by Presbyterians and is the document from which the LBCF is modeled. The original BCF was more simple and a bit more ambiguous. The Westminster Divines did a great job and the confession got wide acceptance quickly, which is why the Baptists used it's format. In fact, the LBCF is nearly a copy of the WCF with a Baptist twist. |
